Course Objective:

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate a roller to compact material.

This unit applies to those working in site-based roles.

Depending on experience, ACTA Group offers 1-day and 3-day course options to obtain all the skills required to conduct roller operations in a civil construction environment.

This unit alone does not provide sufficient skill to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisting someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and unload plant or equivalent.

ACTA Group Course Admission Requirements:

Participants must:

  • Be at least 15 years of age;
  • Have completed Year 10 in the Australian school system or equivalent;
  • Have language, literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to ASCF Level 2;
  • Provision of the participant’s Unique Student Identifier (USI)
  • Provision of Australian legal photo identification for assessment purposes
  • Hold a valid WHS White Card or equivalent
  • Be employed in a civil construction role allowing relevant construction work to be completed, and study via a workplace supported pathway.
