The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification is required in order to teach in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system (TAFE and private RTO’s – Registered Training Organisations), allowing you to assess student’s against Nationally Recognised Qualification’s.

The TAE40110: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the latest version of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification.

By Completing the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment you will learn how to read and interpret Training Package guidelines and translate Unit of Competency outlines into effective lesson plans and assessment tools.

Understand how to deal with different learning styles and create engaging presentations and class activities to stimulate your class. You will learn valuable skills in managing classroom situations and handling different personalities and learning styles within the classroom to bring out the best in every student.

Learn a range of techniques for assessing competence in different situations and understand the paperwork requirements of training in the VET sector.

Gain an understanding of the RTO standards of registration that all RTO’s must adhere to and how these standards translate into requirements of you as a trainer in the VET sector.

 

We provide two options for you to achieve this qualification:

  • Distance learning – $1250

Upon successful completion of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) you will receive a nationally recognised qualification and have the skills and knowledge to perform the role of a skilled trainer, facilitator and assessor within your workplace as well as in a Vocational Education and Training environment.

Ways of studying to best suit your individual needs:

Class

In this option participants attend 8 days of training with experienced trainers to guide you through the course content. Enjoy meeting new people and networking with likeminded learners whilst having fun and developing skills.

Distance Learning – Start when you like!

In this option we send the materials and assessments to the participant to work through at their own pace. As you work through your subjects you can contact our facilitators via phone or email to chat about your subject. Please note that this option will require that the participant have access to a small training group and a video recorder or suitable third party to record/observe training sessions for assessing purposes.

Student support

You will receive expert trainer support while studying for your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 course. Our trainers come from a variety of backgrounds and are industry experts who have an extensive experience.

Our trainers are here to assist you with any hurdles you may encounter during your Certificate IV course content, assessments, or just how to manage your study time effectively.

Course Requirements

You will have a maximum of twelve months to complete this course.  There are no formal prerequisites to the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110, however to undertake this course it does require that you have sound language and literate.

Course Qualification

The latest TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is comprised of 10 course units, including 7 core units PLUS 3 elective units
