Course Objective:

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate, load, haul and dump materials using an articulated haul truck.

This unit applies to those who work in operational roles.

This unit applies to both front and rear dumping haul trucks.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors, and must be sourced form state jurisdictions prior to applying this unit.

ACTA Group Course Admission Requirements:

Participants must:

Be at least 17 years of age;
Have completed Year 10 in the Australian school system or equivalent;
Have language, literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to ASCF Level 2;
Provision of the participant’s Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Provision of Australian legal photo identification for assessment purposes
Hold a valid WHS White Card or equivalent
Be employed in a civil construction role allowing relevant construction work to be completed, and study via a workplace supported pathway. Employment can be full time, part time or casual.

Accreditation

Upon successful completion of this these units, students will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in RIIMPO337E Conduct articulated haul truck operations

RPL / Credit Transfer
