RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces

Course Objective:

This unit provides successful applicants skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries.

To remain compliant under the Australia Safe Work Standard 2865, anyone entering a confined work environment must be trained sufficiently to the standards within this course.

Upon completion successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to work safely in an enclosed space and identify and interpret the processes and procedures required to meet the standards.

Participants must:

Be at least 15 years of age;
Have completed Year 10 in the Australian school system or equivalent;
Have language, literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to ASCF Level 2;
Provision of the participant’s Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Provision of Australian legal photo identification for assessment purposes

Accreditation

Upon successful completion of this unit, students will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces.

RPL / Credit Transfer

ACTA Group’s Participant Advice and Selection Policy outlines in detail a process to be followed for granting Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer. This is supported with RPL resources available for all course units.

Participants must apply for RPL or credit transfer prior to or immediately after formal enrolment but prior to the commencement of the delivery of the units. Any RPL’s granted must be accepted and signed off by the participant.
