CPPFES2005 Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment

Course Objective:

To be compliant with The Building Fire Safety Regulations 1991, all workplaces must be fitted with adequate firefighting equipment and provide annual fire instruction and evacuation training.

This half-day course provides training in the safe use of fire extinguishers and how to respond safety to a fire in the workplace.
Upon course completion students must demonstrate the following:

  • The correct use of portable fire extinguisher to extinguish simulated fire
  • Correct use of fire hose reel
  • Correct use of fire blanket

ACTA Group Course Admission Requirements:

Participants must:

  • Be at least 15 years of age;
  • Have completed Year 10 in the Australian school system or equivalent; and
  • Have language, literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to ASCF Level 1
  • Provision of the participant’s Unique Student Identifier (USI)
  • Provision of Australian legal photo identification for assessment purposes

Upon successful completion of this unit, students will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in CPPFES2005 Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment
