CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
Course Objective:
Prior to undertaking construction work in Australia, one must obtain a White Card by successfully completing the mandatory work health and safety training that this unit covers.
Upon course completion students must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements
- Identify and orally report common construction hazards
- Understanding of basic risk control measures
- Ability to identify procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies
- Select and fit common personal protective equipment used for construction work
