Course Objective:

We have focused on our NEW training packages involving Cert I & II in Resources and Infrastructure and Civil Construction. We provide bridging pathways for students and companies to conduct training with us and offer the opportunity of employment on completion or new windows of employment with stakeholders seeking skilled staff.

Delivery / Course Duration:

Each student will complete the program through a structured classroom setting with simulated practical components to mimic real work tasks to ensure a robust training and assessment model.

The standard course duration is 3 weeks. This duration takes into consideration that the target clients are new to the workforce, having just completed schooling and accustomed to classroom study.

ACTA Group Course Admission Requirements:

Participants must:

Be at least 15 years of age;
Have completed Year 10 in the Australian school system or equivalent; and
Have language, literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to ASCF Level 2
Provision of the participant’s Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Provision of Australian legal photo identification for assessment purposes
Hold CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry and current Construction Industry ‘White Card’

Accreditation

Upon successful completion of this Nationally Recognised Qualification, students will receive a Testamur in RII10115 Certificate I in resources and infrastructure operations.

Units of competency

To be awarded the RII10115 Certificate I in Resources and Infrastructure Operations, the following packaging rules apply:

Total number of units = 6
3 core units plus
3 elective units, of which:

no more than three (3) units may be chosen from the electives listed below
no more than one (1) unit may be chosen from elsewhere within this training package, or from another endorsed training package, or from an accredited course.

All elective units selected from outside this qualification must reflect current occupational and learning outcomes of this AQF qualification level.

There are no prerequisites to imported units listed in this qualification. Where a unit is imported as an elective, care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisites specified are complied with.

RPL / Credit Transfer

ACTA Group’s Participant Advice and Selection Policy outlines in detail a process to be followed for granting Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer. This is supported with RPL resources available for all course units.

Participants must apply for RPL or credit transfer prior to or immediately after formal enrolment but prior to the commencement of the delivery of the units. Any RPL’s granted must be accepted and signed off by the participant.
