Technical Rope Rescue

Course Objective

PUASAR032 Undertake Vertical Rescue

This nationally accredited unit has been designed for anyone who may be required to perform rope-based rescues to extract injured personnel from difficult to access terrain or work locations. This training course has been designed to equip the participants the skills and knowledge around many rescue scenarios that are relevant to their worksites. The delivery of this course is extremely hand’s on, with approximately 75% of the time being ‘on ropes’ and performing rescue scenarios. Various types of equipment can be covered depending on the complexity of the types of rescue methods applicable at site. Training and course subjects will be completely tailored to the requirements of the worksite. Following the training course, all competent personnel shall be capable of responding and controlling various on-site rope rescue emergencies as this training program is rescue focused and not designed for general ‘working at heights’ workers.

Our training is conducted by current industry professionals and content experts who deliver high-quality, practical, and contextualised training that meet the needs of your specific work environments.

This course has been strategically designed to ensure Workplace Health and Safety compliance topics are incorporated and that all students gain a thorough understanding of all the requirements to undertake vertical rescue safely and effectively.
